KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
1. Contract Management
? Ensuring timely receipt of deliverable- Follow up where necessary
? Certifying payment requests/ invoices
2. Design and Procurement Coordination:
External Stakeholders
? Provide client brief to design consultants
? Manage weekly coordination meetings with different consultants. Circulate MOM’s with
action items and dates for follow ups.
? Review deliverables with respect to client and other stake holder requirements; provide
feedback
? d. Channel feedback from various stake holders to consultants and ensure that they are
incorporated in their documentation
? e. Review design documentation to ensure incorporation of all feedback. Also, obtaining
sign-offs from various stakeholders prior to issuing documentation to site for
tendering/ construction
? f. Interact with different vendors to obtain preliminary information for incorporation
into the base design. This includes any technical details, space requirements, etc.
Internal Stakeholders
? Discuss initial design with the management and obtaining budgetary direction for
projects
? Review deliverables with management for adherence to budgets, timelines and project
brief
? Obtaining approvals from management for various components of the project including
design direction
? Presenting design drawings to the management and obtaining signoff prior to allowing
the consultants to proceed
? with the further design documentation
? Provide direction & guidance to the team for managing the design and coordination
efforts
? Provide relevant project related information for internal stakeholders’ statutory
application to government authorities.
? Also, provide information to other departments like sales and marketing to update
project marketing collaterals.
? Update management at regular intervals the status of project with respect to design
deliverables and construction

? Coordinate with other departments- Architecture, Landscape, Structure, MEP, etc to
ensure interior design intent is met. Also, identify constraints pertaining to the above
and advice interior designer to align their design with the same.
Value Engineering
? Researching and obtaining alternate vendors/ material specifications to reduce project
cost while maintaining the design intent
? Assist procurement team in responding to queries from alternate vendors to obtain
competitive pricing
? Review comparative statements and present to management for approval
? Follow up with procurement team for options of materials and vendors.
Vendor Management
? Review and provide preliminary feedback; provide recommendation of alternate vendor
to procurement team from the design point of view.
? Follow up with procurement team to obtain deliverable and production timelines
? Review and sign-off Purchase Orders prior to placing final orders.
3. Construction duration Design Management:
? Issue coordinated design documentation to sites
? Responding to queries pertaining to design documentation and forwarding them to
relevant parties/ consultants.
? Carry out preliminary review of shop drawings and material submittals prior to
forwarding them to consultants for
? their review.
? Regular site visits to verify construction progress adheres to design intent. Provide
directions for rectification (if required)
? Resolve site related design/ coordination issues
? Issue snag lists to sites and verifying completion of the same prior to review by
consultant. Provide final signoffs on
? behalf of the client
? Visiting production facilitates to review mockups, basic forms of furniture’s prior to final
finishing and advising
? changes/ modification if necessary.
? Visiting warehouses to select material like stone, veneer, etc.
